Chronus Art Center (CAC) is a partner of the Summer Sessions Talent Development Network, which offers residencies for artists working in new media. The residency lasts approximately eight weeks. The program provides the funds, time and space for emerging new media artists to work on their practice.

Eligible Applicants

Applicants must be under 35 years of age and/or have graduated no more than five years prior to applying. The applicant must also have a partner of the Summer Sessions Talent Development Network network in their country of residence.

Application Process

The application for the residency can be found on the CAC website. The deadline for applications is in late April, final selections are made in late May. The length of stay is approximately eight weeks, from June to September.


The residency is located in Shanghai's Moganshan art district.

Program Fees

CAC provides 3000 euros including tax, which could be divided as follows:
-1000 euros per diem for the artist
-1000 euros production budget (equipment, materials, tools, provided by the host)
-1000 euros for travel and accommodation
